I recently read this Alan Watts passage where he says: “You see, suddenly you don’t NEED to have some special performance put on for you, to convince you, that you’re where its at, where IT is at. You don’t need trumpets and angels”
*
So it got me thinking:
*
What is Walking the path to God, to Divine Spirit, that Energy that is Everything (God as you know her)? There just seems to be so many choices, so many options to be connected to Spirit.
*
Seeking Divine Source, most people typically attach themselves to a church, temple, mosque, or Nature, following humanly designed writings, rituals, rules and procedures in an effort to become enlightened and find God. Rituals are able to bring one closer to that place of our origin, to be One with Divine Source.
*
Which path one takes is not so important as all paths are leading to the same place. It is important that commitment and devotion are exercised. No matter what path we follow, or which Spiritual Leaders we listen to, and no matter how many days, hours or years we spend seeking the light,
*
We will always “be on a Path.”
*
Being lead down a path, will always keep you “on a path…” Not a bad one, but the problem is you will “never arrive.” You will never reach that ever illusive and ultimate spiritual goal you are seeking. It will be an interesting and beautiful, and eternal trek down “the path.”
*
You see, that path will always ultimately loop back around to Ourselves. It is only from within ourselves and through our unique connection to and extension from our eternal origin, that we are One with Everything, with Every-Thing. Always.
*
Rather than being a monotonous phonograph, spewing repetitive passages from books, let those writings be the source for stimulating, in silence our own unique creative lively perspective and understanding of where we come from and who we are. Only you know your own personal truth. Just because someone can recite every word of a spiritual book, doesn’t mean they understand or know the meaning.
*
What were the books, and who were the teachers for Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, Krishna, and other enlightened beings. It is the same lessons and teachers that I learn from. Rather than following an enlightened leader verbatim through the dilute, regulated and reorganized books written by man, why not instead act as, emulate and be as those enlightened leaders have been?
*
Having a community to worship with, and a support system in so many ways is highly important for mankind. It is a place of community for the congregation of family, friends and those in need of physical help and spiritual stimulation. A church, temple or mosque is where rituals for tapping into Divine Source might be learned and initiated. But the “business” of religion can easily get in the way of Spirituality.
*
Whatever your path might be, in the quite of meditation, where we become effused within the Energy that is Everything, we know that there is nothing else but the One Energy. We are the Oneness, the I Am, the un-namable, the indescribable. There are no words that could possibly illustrate the omnipresent energy including you and I. Every person, every plant, animal and grain of dust; There is no separation. We are never alone. We are always one.
*
The endless climb of the spiritual ladder will always lead back to yourself, your own Godly piece of the Energy that is Everything.
*
Divine source, is every-thing. To seek a path to God is to self actualize, self realize, to remember the umbilical cord that attaches everyone to everything.
*
In reality, there is no path to Divine Source. You are already Divine Source, you are a unique bit of the Energy that is Every-thing that is, Always.
*
It’s an inside job. Worship the divine from within.
*
Become enlightened to the godliness and good-liness of all. You’re already there, it is you, and every-thing else all at the same time.
*
But wait! I think I hear trumpets and angels! Always!
*
Live Life’s Joy!
